  • I began working as a photographer in the 70s, but I have been drawing since I was 12 years old. I arrived in NYC in 1970. Then, at the age of 20, I began studying at CMA Photography. This experience opened up many job opportunities for me, assisting famous photographers such as Robert Black, Steven White and Gary Bond, among others.

While working with a Brazilian friend, I had the pleasure of meeting the world-renowned artist Andy Warhol, who is considered the second best-known artist today. I was one of his assistants and felt privileged for being part of this remarkable artistic movement.

My solo career took off in 1989, as the owner of Studio A, in the Village. The venue is where I did my best work, with several prominent modeling agencies and numerous clients, such as Company, Ludmila, Time Model and Next Company Modelmanagement.

Some memorable moments in my career as a photographer were a project I did about the Amish people living in a community located in the state of Pennsylvania and the “Amish way of life” and capturing images of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in Central Park. I even have the notorious picture of the couple’s kiss. I was there on that very moment!
